El Cinco de Mayo

This week has been so crazy busy that I just about could not get it all blogged - but here is the last bloggable event - El Cinco de Mayo, Alyssa's class performed and celebrated with the parents on El Siete de Mayo (the 7th). The kids did a fantastic job - they sang a song in Spanish, performed a Mexican Hat Dance and scrambled for candy with an indoor Pinata. Here they are getting ready to sing with Ms. Melissa and Ms. Elsa close by for support.

Soccer - 5/9/09

Today was CAP (Coaches Athletic Program) Day as well as Photo Day and a soccer game - what a cluster!

What do you do when they are running an hour behind for photos? Ring-around-the Rosy of course! Special note: The BOYS started this and Alyssa joined in :)

Lost Tooth

We will always remember El Cinco de Mayo 2009 - Alyssa lost her first tooth! She lost it at school while eating a cookie so she accidentally swallowed it. We wrote a special note to the Tooth Fairy explaining our situation and Alyssa was thrilled that the Tooth Fairy paid her a visit. She received a dollar and a quarter and a special pillow to put the rest of her lost teeth in. I still can't believe my baby is losing things it seems like she just acquired!

Tea Party

Alyssa's class had a lovely Tea Party to show their parents the manners they had been working on all week. The boys wore coats and ties and the girls wore their finest dresses, hats, shoes and accessories. The gentlemen escorted the ladies in, pulled out her chair for her and then found his place. It was really cute!

Soccer Game - 4/25/09

I said I would try not bore you with soccer shots, but the truth is that soccer has taken over our lives! Soccer was supposed to be a Dad and Daughter experience but we have found out that with practice twice a week and games every Saturday, it takes the Team! So here's Saturday's game, another great game for the Eagles! And there will probably be many, many more soccer shots - our season ends June 1st in case you were wondering!

It's hard to see in this photo, but I got tickled seeing hot pink toenail polish and shin guards so close together. Getting these socks on is definitely a two person operation!
