Parent - Teacher Conference

We had Alyssa's end of year Parent-Teacher Conference on Tuesday. Overall, she is doing really great, her teachers are happy with her achievements and we are also happy with her progress. We do have some things to work on . . .

1. Focus and Attention - I wonder which fidgety, scatterbrained, non-engineer parent she got that from?

2. Expressing herself, speaking louder - her teachers acknowledged she was much louder on the playground than in class - same goes for home!

3. Slowness, especially eating - at home she's like Molasses with everything, especially for Momma!

4. More structure with coloring and crafts - we've been wide open creative, anything goes, here's some blank paper. Apparently we need to be a little more specific - "Color two flowers, one for Momma and one for Dada." This will help with focus and attention as well.

Our next purchase will be an alarm clock, her choice, to get her up and moving a little faster in the mornings - I'll be sure to let you know how that one goes!
